Not in any particular order:
Sorrow's Furnace music
Autumn in Ascalon
Crystal Oasis
Sunqua Serenity
Kurzick Theme
Resplendent Makuun
+ many not listed here

Battle Pak FTW
I've made an analog-loophole CD of the Battle Pak\Sorrow's Furnace music and listen to it over an over. Frankly, I'm looking forward to a new Soule soundtrack for GWEN as much as am I the actual game.

I love them all. Now I've bought the music from Directsong to play them in the car and on my MP3 player. My favourite song is the Factions bonus song 4 (which is like the factions theme with drums) but I also like a lot of the prophecies stuff. I'm not too fond of NF becuase it's all very percussive but that makes sense of course due to the african theme.

I hate the combat music, it's crap

Is there any way to turn off the "combat music". It is udder crap and makes guild wars background music completely useless. Perhaps it should just be a separate volume track?

I bought Proph sound track it's really really well done. But yea my favourite would have to be
Factions CE soundtrack / Proph sound track (both awesome) > Factions soundtrack > britney spears > NF soundtrack (only maybe track 1 on that CD is good)

Overall, I enjoyed the "assasins" and the "ritualists" songs on the factions score the most. Comparitavely, i like all the gw music, but most the rest isn't something I like to make a CD of and have playing in the background. But for game music, overall, very nice.

Prophecies. I especially love the graceful but sad music when you hit Ember Light Camp.

I've been listening to the Prophecies soundtrack a lot lately, nice music to play on my drive into work in the morning
I'd say my favorite tracks are "Eye of the Storm" which you hear all the time in Pre searing. "Gwen's Theme" is amazing - it doesn't quite grab you at first but when you hit the middle of the song the way the instruments build up and change is so beautiful. To me it seems like the heart of the game is in that song.
Overall I love the Factions soundtrack. It has a more dramatic and melancholy tone to it. Favorites for me are the "Luxon Theme", "Age of the Dragon", "Assassin's Theme", "Ritualist's Theme" and "Zen Daijun", which I think is the most sad song in the entire game that I've heard.
I'm with most on Nightfall...LOVE the main theme which also served as the old login music (called "Land of the Golden Sun" on the soundtrack). The rest is sometimes calm and soothing...and at other times dramatic and fast paced, but generally not much worth noting.
Generally all the music for Guild Wars is beautifully composed.

Eye of the North stuff: mostly dissapointing IMO. Extracted the music from the dat, bought the DirectSong thing (licensing blew up on my computer and crashed Windows now, bah), but only a couple standouts:
Iron Footfalls, Ballad of Ice and Snow. A couple of the others get my nod, but the rest of the GW:EN soundtrack aren't as good as the campaigns'. That said, I like the battle music ingame, pretty good feeling to it except it's pretty erratic and doesn't trigger all the time when you're on a ranged character.

I agree, those are good songs.
I don't have a favorite soundtrack, I own none of them, but I do have favorite songs. I really liked the original opening theme. It set a good tone for the game. Factions theme was my least favorite. Nightfall was about the same as Factions. GWEN opening theme is awesome, but I still like the original intro better.
I like a lot of the pre-searing ascalon music, and the crystal oasis was very good.

I love the music from all the Campaigns, but probably Nightfall the most.
Prophecies:
Love the Crystal Oasis
Love the Pre-Searing Theme
Love all the music in the Shiverpeaks, specifically the stuff with the violins.
Factions:
The Jade Sea is very calm, love that.
Love the main Shing Jea theme that you can tell is very very oriental.
Nightfall:
I like the Istan music, very Egyptian IMO
Like the Vabbian Music, the sitars are nice.
Love the final mission music, an epic version of the Nightfall main theme, which I also love.
Love quite a few of the battle themes, but most specifically the one that plays mainly in Kourna or the Domain of Anguish, with the rapid bongos and drums. Track 31 on the Nightfall soundtrack.

Which one is the desolation song? which track on the soundtrack, that is.
Also, I'm unsure which on the soundtrack has the final Nightfall Mission/Palawa Joko Battle theme, if it's even on there =(

I have bought or otherwise acquired all of the soundtracks, including Battle Pak One. My favorite is Prophecies, because so much of it captures the essence of the area it's describing. Factions has derivative naming, but really good score. Nightfall, most of it's great except that G**D*** BATTLE MUSIC. I get in a border dispute with some plants, and they crank up the music like I'm fighting D-Day or something. Eye of the North: Beyond the Northern Wall (what was heard on the Dungeon preview) is classic. THAT is the essence of Guild Wars IMO.
